Summer! 2026
Hey there everyone. Its been about 3 months since my last blog post. You must forgive me I’ve thankfully been busy! Time to detail some highlights from this summer.
Where to start,
DP’d a interview podcast for Natalie Tran and Lailah Licon and their upcoming short film “Passion Project.” Huge thanks to Ron Bellamy for putting this together. Shot on FX9 and FX3 with Gmaster zooms and primes.
DP’d a promo for Vario Productions in Houston. This was a fun time running around grabbing highlight footage so they could intercut with two interviews I shot on location at the Houston Convention Center. (also my phone broke on this job and I had to replace it! Life.) Shot on BMPCC 6k Pro with Sigma Art glass.
DP’d a series of corporate video packages in San Antonio also for Vario Productions. This was a fun multicam with two BMPCC 6k Pro packages. Huge thanks for GEAR camera & lighting for spotting me with additional equipment.
I did some day playing at GEAR Camera & Lighting so Aaron could take a much needed vacation. Met some wonderful people and learned more about IATSE and the local group.
This is just a fun fact, There was a week period where I was in Austin, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth. Very cool to see the skylines so close together.
Grip Swing’d (Swung?) for Chris Cogswell on an Allstate commercial that released on the 4th of July. This was a fun multi-day shoot that involved multiple location moves per day.
Camera Operated for Comedy For the Internet on their Space Documentary about Pork Rinds. I did several shoots with them for this doc over the summer including interviews and weather balloon launches. I operated on Venice 2 and FX3 using Magic Primes. So thankful to these guys for the repeat work and taking care of me so well!
Camera Operated again for Comedy For the Internet but a different documentary. This one is about Dick’s Last Resort. For this one it is exclusively interview packages in which I operated a number of cameras. Venice 2, FX3, BMPCC 6k Pro etc.
First AC’d for Diego Noriega with DHD Films. Let me tell you I have been trying to work with him for YEARS and schedules finally aligned. Pulled focus with WCU4 on Tribe 7 primes. Camera was a Venice 1. Also fun to meet the team and finally work with Steadicam Operator Jared Deer as well. Known these guys for years but working with them in the field is a real treat. Coca’Cola Commerical btw :)
Preproduction for the Short Film Mowers. I was set to DP this project however it has been pushed to next year so we’ll cover the details of that then. Just know it will be a good one!
That is a big overview of what I’ve been up to. August unfortunately has been more quiet however I keep busy with various creative projects. I am working on an Animation Film and a series of 3D projects in Blender/Procreate. Those should come out later this year or next.
